So no new comic today, school has been pretty out of control recently.

Nintendo released the date of...release of the Wii. November 19th, 2006. Do yourself a favor and pick one up.

I skipped an update last week, school stuff. Oh well, here's the new comic, featuring our good friends over at Looking For Group comics. Oh, and if you see Ron, tell him to start updating. Lazy asshole.

Harvest Moon DS comes out next week, as does Rocket Slime and Mega Man ZX. Damn is the DS kicking ass this year. Actually, Nintendo in general is blowing up. Wii comes out next month and I couldn't be more excited. Considering how cheap Wii is (promised) to be, and how expensive 360 and PS3 is ($400 and $600 respectively) and with PS3 games costing a projected $80 a pop, we're not going to be seeing people with all three systems. Everyone will have a Wii, and either a 360 or a PS3. It's just becoming too expensive. Maybe after the prices begin to drop more people will be getting all three besides the hardcore's, but still, the raise in technology is making gaming so expensive, which is something I just don't agree with.

Okay, so I have no idea why this comic took so long. I really don't.

Civil War is getting really interesting. If you haven't read any of it, I highly suggest it. Tony Stark is fuckin around. I was never too much of an Iron Man fan anyway, but now he is nothing to me. He might be able to redeem himself soon, but I doubt it to the fullest extent. Besides, he would only redeem himself up to 'douche bag.'

Yikes. So, I haven't updated the comic in a month. A whole MONTH! However, I believe it was worth the wait, since the newest addition is just amazing. Perfect, if I do say so myself. And I do.

I'm a machine. Two wallpapers in two days. Yikes. Now, I must rest for three days.

This wallpaper is the prelude to the next comic, as well as a celebration for the coming Pirates sequel. Yo ho, and some rum, and stuff. Arrgh.

Yes, it's true. There is a new wallpaper in the Downloads section.

I checked out Al Gore's global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth. It was interesting, interesting as in an hour and a half of the VP telling us when and exactly how fucked we will be in the coming years. If you haven't seen it, if you have the means, you should. Or you could just check out the Climate Crisis website. Apparently it's going to be getting warm around here.

Happy 4th of July those of you who live in the US. For everyone else, enjoy your normal day.

Checked out Anime Expo this weekend. In all honestly, I know nothing about anime that hasn't aired before my tenth grade. Even though I didn't really know too much about what was going on, it was still pretty interesting.

For those of you who are wondering "What the hell happened to your normal update days?" Too be honest? I really don't know. I just decided that I'll update three times a week. What days? No idea. This is actually a ploy that requires people to check out my site every day. It's brilliance is in its subtley.

So here is the first comic in my new "comics that don't look horrible and that I actually spend time on" line of comics. In all seriousness, this is the first comic using the new art style. From this moment on they will all be alike. Hope you enjoy.

I added a downloads section to the site. Check it out for some wallpaper and AIM buddy icons.

So I started a my space for the comic. I  figured it was a good way to advertise, and trade nudes. So check it out and add it if you have a my space.

I decided the DS Lite is the single greatest hand held of all time. Not only does it have good games but the whole touch aspect of it is amazing. The original DS was the size of a Volkswagon, so it didn't really appeal to me, but the Lite is really only a little bit bigger than the SP (which was formerly the greatest.) If you've considered buying one, do it.

After more than a month long absence, Life Before Loading, in all its mediocrity, is back. What has changed, you ask? A few things. The art will now be more consistent. Through the entire life span of this comic you can tell I have been experimenting in terms of character design. Well, that's out the window. What you see is what you'll get from now on.

Anything else? Not really. LBL is still that average webcomic it was 5 weeks ago.

The second installment of the E3 strips is up.

The first in a 3 part E3 series has been posted. Just a series of quickees for you.

5/12/06 NEWS

So I checked out E3 this year. What did I see? I saw a Wii. Did I play with a Wii (haha)? No. I couldn't handle a 4 hour line.

I did, however, get my hands on the Playstation 3. The games looked great, but the controls for the games I played were a little clunky. At least they ditched that boomerang peripheral bullshit for the classic PS controller. Disgaea 2 and God of War 2 were probably my two favorite PS games shown there. Final Fantasy XIII looks like it could be great, but considering I haven't warmed to the new battle set up of XII, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Xbox still makes me snore. I'm sorry, but Microsoft has yet to release a game on the 360 that would intice me to drop the cash for one. I may be forced to buy one once Kinghts of the Old Republic 3 comes out, but hopefully the price will drop by then. I will say the Ninety Nine Nights looks pretty cool.

Nintendo stole the show. The motion sensored gamplay, great line up of games and promised 'cheaper than the others' price, the Nintendo Penis, I mean Wii, will most likely win the console race in the end. Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Mario Galaxies look great.

Sorry I haven't updated in a week, I've been working on Still for a while and also I've been pretty lazy. It's a quick one this time, I'm leaving for E3 tonight so I didn't really have much time but I wanted to get one out.

My new on-going wecomic series 'Still' is now up. So far it's just the prologue, but I hope to update every saturday. Hope you like it.

So the Fan Art section has now changed to the Art Work section. Go check it out if you want to see the newest.
 - Brian

I have decided to update the comic three times a week now. It usually only takes me about 2-3 hours to completely finish a comic, so I figure I might as well.

I'm also thinking about changing the name. Life Before Loading is alright, but too be honest I never meant for the comic to be completely about gaming. A non-genre was what I was and still am going for, so a few changes will probably be made within the next few weeks.

E3 is in two weeks, so I'll be checking that out. I haven't really checked out what exacly is going to be displayed, but hopefully there will be some playable Revolution action.

Yeah, my birthday was yesturday, not too exciting of one. It mostly involved Makai Kingdom and the DMV.

 - Brian

Tim had an idea to advertise the comic at E3 this year.

 - Brian

So this is the introduction to the very, very small sub-comic within Life Before Loading known as Circle and Square. It's pretty self explainatory. LBL will update on monday as usual.

Hope you like it, I'll probably add another once every two weeks or so.

4/19/06 NEW COMICS

If you haven't seen the movie referenced to in the newest comic, you may not think it's very funny. However, the facts are true, and that's something we can all shake our head at.

4/18/06 NEWS

So on The Webcomics List, Life Before Loading is ranked in the top third percent. I thought that was pretty cool. It's actually a really good place to find webcomics. Check it out on the Links page.

My buddy Ron's comic Looking For Group has started to update again. It's some funny stuff, there's a link to it in the Links page as well.

I went into Best Buy again and played Guitar Hero for about 20 minutes again. I'm still not sure if I want to shell out the $70 it takes to own it, considering the duel guitar feature is the best part in the game (while requiring two controllers). I only know like two other people with the game, so I'm debating whether or not it would be worth it.

Also, if you haven't noticed I decided not to keep the art style of the End of an Era strip. I tried using bolder lines for the outlining but I like the usual lines better. If you disagree, then make your own damn comic and use all the bold lines you want.

 - Brian

If you check out the comic you'll find out what has been recently added to my collection of head accessories. Actually it's the only part of my collection, but hopefully time will change that. My head is way too gigantic for hats, so perhaps some head gear or one of those one-eyed monocle things the dog from Bullwinkle wears, Peabody. You ever see that? The talking dog that wore glasses. Wait, he wore glasses. Shit. Well, at least I emulate a cartoon hero. I salute you, Peabody.

 - Brian

So the new comic may be a little overblown. Actually no it isn't. You have to understand my admiration/obsession for pizza bagels.

 - Brian

I changed the look of the comic and its characters a little. I think I like it better.

 - Brian

So here it is, the website for Life Before Loading.

Ah, how I remember it's humble beginnings two months ago in my notebook, then on to the mediocre with live journal. I've been wanting to put this onto an actual site for some time now, and with the help of a new laptop, I finally have the means.
